Engineering Base Sees to High Tension at AREVA! French Energy Concern Uses EB Power Worldwide For the harmonization of its tool environment, AREVA T&D endorses Engineering Base from AUCOTEC for the planning of all of its electrical processes. The Systems division of the French energy company with headquarters in Paris has for this purpose thoroughly scanned the market for manufacturers of tools for electrical planning. After a comprehensive comparison, AREVA opted for the latest software generation from AUCOTEC, the object-oriented and database-driven, client-server-compatible platform Engineering Base (EB) with its branch solution Power. Of the 180 licenses scheduled by AREVA, 110 have meanwhile been delivered and installed. In this context the AREVA T&D unit AUTOMATION has joined the other participants; it now also uses EB. Thus in addition to the French users, subsidiaries in Great Britain, India, Egypt, Australia, Spain, New Zealand and Dubai now also work with the new platform.
